The objective of BSR Go-abroad is to increase the resilience of Baltic Sea Region micro SMEs and the Baltic Sea Region, by stimulating increased trade and collaboration within the Baltic Sea Region. This will be done by providing micro SMEs with the knowledge, tools and network to execute effectful internationalisation strategies and build strong local value chains within the Baltic Sea Region.
The project will pilot an internationalisation programme for micro SMEs, that will have as its output a blueprint of tools and recommendations on how to increase and support local trade and value chain cooperations among micro SMEs in the BSR. The blueprint will then be transferred to and used by the micro SMEs themselves, business development organisations and business development departments of local authorities in the Baltic Sea geography.
The project will support 250 SMEs throughout the project.
BSR Go-abroad is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg Baltic Sea Region programme.
BSR Go Abroad is divided into four interlinked phases:

A “micro-SME” with up to 10 employees (in some cases up to 25) looking to expand internationally.
Remember – participating companies must be officially registered entities.
2. What does it cost to participate?
The program is completely free, thanks to EU funding via Interreg Baltic Sea Region.

Yes, we strongly recommend attending all workshops and activities to get the most out of the program. However, all sessions are recorded, so you can catch up later if you miss one.

8. How much time will I need to dedicate to the program?
The time commitment varies depending on the level, but participation in workshops and coaching is key to getting the most value. The program is designed to be manageable for busy entrepreneurs, and recordings are available for all sessions.
9. Is the program available for businesses outside the Baltic Sea Region?
The program primarily supports businesses located within the Baltic Sea Region, but if you’re unsure about your eligibility, feel free to contact us for clarification.
10. What happens if I decide to stop after one or two levels?
You’re free to proceed as far as suits your business needs. However, we strongly encourage participants to complete all levels to gain the full benefits of the program.
